The X9i is a derivative of the Life Fitness health club models so the feel is exactly the same as those used in the gym. Moulded into the handle-bars is Lifepulse™ Heart Rate Sensors which will automatically monitor your heart beat on contact. If you wish to monitor your heart but have the freedom to place your hands anywhere during the workout then you can use Polar® telemetry heart rate monitoring. Both systems work with the interactive heart rate programmes built into the computer. The computer offers 20 programmes and 7 personalised workouts. These include all the old and exciting new programmes plus On-The-Fly programming which allows you to switch from one program to another in the same workout session without having to start over or losing workout data.
